🎓✨Independence in Progress: One Step at a Time🎨🎉

Antonio has been a client of Creel’s TDSO services since 2015, shortly after earning his high school diploma. He enrolled at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, which was conveniently located near his home. I began working with Antonio in February 2017, during the spring semester of his sophomore year. When we first met, Antonio was a dedicated student with a strong desire to succeed, though he was initially reserved in class and still developing effective study habits. Over time, I saw him grow more confident, ask questions in class, engage with instructors, and form friendships with classmates. He became more consistent with note-taking and fully committed to his coursework. After several changes in his major and years of hard work, Antonio proudly graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Humanities. At graduation, Antonio’s family and facilitator watched in amazement as Antonio donned his cap and gown proudly. Since then, he has taken on a meaningful role as a paid caregiver for his elderly father through the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program. In 2023, Antonio also worked as an after-school coach for children aged 5–11, a role he truly enjoyed, given his natural ability to connect with young people. Antonio continues to grow personally and professionally while making a positive impact on those around him. We are incredibly proud of his progress and excited to see what he accomplishes next!
